Examples from our sessions

What we actually put on the tables.

These are examples, not a formula. We build every session around the challenge in front of us, so no two rooms have run exactly the same way. These are the sheets that worked at particular events, shared because seeing a real one beats a description of one.

Free, no account needed. Take them, change them, or ignore them entirely.

Three we have used

At the events where we used these, they ran in this order and each one fed the next. That was right for those rooms. Yours may need something else entirely.

One challenge, four quadrants, one page. It takes a complaint everyone in the room agrees with and turns it into something with an adoption path, a real user, and a number attached to it. This is the sheet our tables fill first.

Acquisition Process Map

The federal buying cycle laid out stage by stage, from need identified through manage and measure. Tables mark what works, where it breaks, and one concrete fix. It surfaces the friction both sides feel and neither side usually says out loud.

Impact and Effort Matrix

45 minutes  ·  Print large or draw it

Everything the room generated gets plotted and argued over. It is the step most workshops skip, and the reason most workshops end with a list nobody owns. Nothing leaves the top left quadrant without a name and a date on it.

The Facilitator Guide

Everything you need to run a session, whether that is a forty person event or six people around a conference table. The full agenda with timings, the ground rules to read out loud, exactly what to print and buy, how to seat the room so government and industry do not self segregate, and the forty eight hour follow up that decides whether the day turns into anything.

Ground rules

Read these out loud before you start

The templates are the easy part. These four rules are what make a Collabolutions session different from every other government and industry event on the calendar.

01

Nobody sells

No pitches, no capability briefs. A table that turns into a demo stops being useful to the government people sitting at it.

02

Say the real constraint

Budget, timeline, policy, staffing. The half of the problem people leave out is usually the half that matters.

03

Government frames it first

In every round the mission side defines the problem before industry proposes anything. It changes what gets proposed.

04

Every commitment gets a name

Not a team, not an office. A person, and a date. Otherwise the day was just a nice conversation.

Want us in the room?

These sheets are the easy part. The work is scoping a challenge worth a day of people’s time and running the room so both sides actually talk. If you have a problem that needs that, come to the next event or ask us to build one around it.
